What Should You Be Sharing on Social Media?

As the U.S. largely remains indoors, you might not feel that sharing on social media is important right now, but the opposite couldn’t be more true. As a member of your community, your customers and fans want to hear from you. What should you share, though?

It’s important to set the right tone. Be empathetic but also upbeat. Keep in mind that no one is looking to you to re-share updates on COVID- 19, but they are looking for home advice and inspiration from an expert. You could also share:

1) Whether your store is open, closed or by appointment only—and how that appointment will take place (phone call, video call, in-person etc.)
2) Recent projects or some of your all-time favorites to provide inspiration
3) Cleaning tips, design trends or other helpful advice for customers
4). Gratitude – for your community, your employees, your families and front-line workers
5) Positive community news

Whatever you choose to share, know that this is the right time to be engaged with your customers and fans through social media to build trust and strengthen relationships.
